Univision Content Now on Vevo
On October 18th, Univision, the nation’s largest Spanish-language TV network, entered into an agreement with Vevo, the online video site, a joint venture between Universal Music Group, Sony Music and Abu Dhabi Media Company, where Vevo will deliver video content to Univision. This will most likely include Música, Univision’s new music site.
Vevo’s Executive Vice President of Sales and Customer Operations, David Kohl, stated that the partnership is part of the site’s efforts to leverage its Hispanic audience for brands. Among Vevo’s 49 million unique users tracked in September, 8 million were Hispanic.
Univision offers any brand looking to reach Hispanics online a unique means of targeting Spanish-dominant Hispanics. Just as Univision is the giant of Spanish-language media in the U.S., Vevo is quickly becoming the leader in online video. And both recognize the increasing engagement of U.S. Hispanics online.
