Through their social media influence, various bloggers and active participants in the Latino social media sphere have recently been featured offline. Cuponeando´s Yoly Mason was featured in USA Weekend, Being Latino´s Lance Rios and Latino Pundit´s Louis Pagan were recently featured in Latino Leaders and Latina on a Mission´s Migdalia Rivera has been participating in a public awareness campaign for the Go Red Heart Disease Awareness Campaign.
All of the above instances of Latino bloggers going from online to offline reminded me of a recent post on the ThinkMulticultural blog. I agree that the Latinas who are proving to be leaders in the growing Latina blogospehere are the true digital divas, and it´s confusing when that label is used for print publishers. So let’s applaud the online pioneers who are making their mark both on and offline.
