By now we all know that US Hispanics are large consumers of digital media, but did you know that some of Latin America’s leading technology executives are meeting at this year’s GDS International’s CIO Latin America Summit to discuss business intelligence, tablet computers and cloud computing?
Business Intelligence (BI) and cloud computing are fields on the cutting edge of the rapidly evolving technological and information markets. Technological advances like tablets need BI systems to be far more sophisticated in gathering analytical information from the vast pools of corporate data which are being developed in the form of applications.
The capabilities of BI being collected from mobile data is being aided by the ability to store information to the cloud, enabling businesses to readily access their data on the move. Business Intelligence and cloud computing are just some of the topics that will be discussed at GDS International’s CIO Latin America Summit, in Miami, FL, August 16-18, 2011. Businesses are gravitating toward the mobile tablet computer market, which, combined with cloud computing technologies, opens up a whole new wealth of information to the BI system, whereby the mobile workforce can work just as efficiently remotely as from the desktop. B2B advertising often overlooks Hispanic, but this goes to show that the field is wide open, both across Latin America and within the US.
