There are still 39 days to go until the CES (Consumer Electronics Show), the world’s largest consumer technology tradeshow, but there has come out some information about what will be presented there. Samsung will present two screen prototypes: a flexible screen and a transparent one. The flexible screen is not an exclusive premiere; it had been introduced already in November 2010. It’s an AMOLED screen of 4.5 inches and a resolution of 800×480 which can be doubled and reach a radius of 1cm. It’s definitely a screen that is four times more flexible than the ones already on the market, thanks to a plastic substratum which can stand very high temperatures (450-500 ºF/200-260 ºC) and it’s only 2mm thick. The transparent screen consists of a display of 19 inches, also AMOLED and it’s meant for computer and television screens. No matter if it’s turned on or off it has a transparency of 30% which is way over the industry’s average of 10%.

This is only one product that can be seen between January 10th-13th 2012 at the International Consumer Electronics Show 2012 in Las Vegas.
